FIRST Robotics Competition is an international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high school students, coaches, and mentors work during a six-week period to build robots capable of competing in that year's game that weigh up to 125 pounds.
Charged Up, stylized as CHARGED UP and officially known as Charged Up presented by Haas for sponsorship reasons, was the FIRST Robotics Competition game for the 2023 season. The game is part of the FIRST-wide FIRST Energize theme for the 2022-2023 season, which focuses on energy and sustainable development.
Most, if not all, FRC teams often have separated sub-teams for their students as well! FRC Team 3015 (my high school robotics team) had sub-teams consisting of marketing, electrical, programming, upper mechanical, lower mechanical and drive team.
I feel robotics is so important too, because of the fact that new economy majors, which allow more diverse opportunities by navigating through the club are even more easily accessible.
The team isn't just a team. The team to me is a family, we work but we also bond, and we have a warehouse which we also share with other teams that allow us to be one big community.
